Our Story

Our journey started with a messy desk and a white cardboard model of a room stuck together with cellotape. Nagged to tidy up her “creative” work space and clear paper models away it sparked an idea that changed the path of Rebecca’s career. After working as a junior designer in London, not seeing any career progression she decided that enough was enough and felt that she could offer a better service if she took the leap to form her own company.

The company name and logo was inspired by the paper models that had adorned her desk.

Little White Box was born in 2009 in a small ‘box’ room in a hidden residential street.

Little White Box’s first year was spent building up relationships with suppliers and working with a large corporate company Mears, working on housing development projects. Our Founder Rebecca was head then head hunted by a leading property developer in the Isle of Man. Unknowingly, Rebecca had been working on the owners private residence during her work in London.  It was this encounter and the impression she left on the client that saw Little White Box ?commissioned to work on many private residences in the Isle of Man.

Soon out growing the first studio the team leased a larger premises above a kitchen showroom in the market town of Coggeshall, Essex.

2018 saw the expansion of our Interior Design business and the need for extra space. An additional showroom was needed for the ‘Home’ side of our brand and further studio space was needed by our expanding Interior Design team. Little White Box continue to work internationally on projects in New York and Mallorca, the teams portfolio continues to expand. While the team work on local projects and offering show homes and dressing services, Rebecca was commissioned to work on one of the most historically important houses in Essex, a private country estate.  To date this is the companies’ highest accolade.

Our latest news has seen the addition of another beautiful showroom in the historic town of Lavenham in Suffolk, split over two floors the Lavenham Store has a bright and spacious feel. The new showroom focuses on the ‘Home” element of the Little White Box brand and the launch of our new website allowing visitors to purchase the Little White Box look from home.
